I just purchased a 96 Warrior and I didn't receive an owners manual. I want to change the oil. Can someone tell me how much Warriors take.
Thanks

I have a 2002 Warrior....my manual says "Oil quantity:
Periodic oil change:
2.4 L (2.1 Imp qt, 2.5 US qt)
With oil filter replacement:
2.5 L (2.2 Imp qt, 2.6 US qt)
Total amount:
3.2 L (2.8 Imp qt, 3.4 US qt)

Don't know if this will help, but my manual was sitting right here on my desk, so, thought I'd look it up and let you know what it says for the 2002. I believe Warriors have had basically the same engine for many years.

Good luck!

Dunescreaminmama is correct don't add more than that. The drain plu is made of very soft metal so be sure to use the right size socket to avoid stripping the flats on the plug.

hondabigred,
Check out www.motorcyclebooks.com for a Clymer manual for the Warrior that will answer all your questions about adjustments, troubleshooting, etc. I believe they have the cheapest price around ($21.95 + 3.50 shipping) and it is the best service manual available. I wasted $40 on the Yamaha factory manual and definetly don't recommend that one.
