Oh hell yeah, forgot about that, thanks ISZDAN, almost anywhere u go, there will be a hill, or bank that will always make loading easier.

most of the time I use the trailer, but when I have offshore work to do I have a set of hand me down ramps, made from 3 2x4's, carriage bolts, & short blocking underneath, the end where it fits on the tailgate is some scrap plate steel, that overlaps on the tailgate, while not pretty, light, or flashy, it works..I ride the 650 up in the bed with this setup a warrior or lighter quad would be better for this arrangement, the ramps need to be as long as you can stand them, mine are 8', since I have a 8' bed on the truck..
I can't & WON'T manhandle over 600 lbs to get it in the truck..
I go out alone (no choice in what I do) but it is always better to go with someone, or better yet, ride with friends..have you considered making a platform that is wheel well high to go in the bed of your truck?
mine is a full size, so I don't have the wheelwell issue..
it may make life a little easier..probally could make it with shipping palletts or the like..
then you could ride it in , or lift it..either with ramps, or by hand..

I have a bi-fold aluminum ramp with some safety chains attached to it, ride the bike on in!

Arched aluminum loading ramps or KNOWSALOT facility wooden beam strength ramps of different lengths with grating on top and rubber bumpers on the bottom and then into two trucks or haul on three different size trailers.

I'm with Knutz on this one, I use the same method of standing it up, setting the front tires on the tailgate, and lift the tail up into the bed, we use this on my blaster and on my uncle's banshee, so a warrior shouldn't be too heavy. ramps suck to carry around, and I'm always nervous that one will slip or something and i'll eat s#!T!

I have a tri-fold with safety chains...I think the safety chains are a great idea. The ramps won't shoot out from under you.

so. after i made a complete fool of myslef in front of a crowd, i redesigned my trailer.....one of theos little 4x8 jobs.
the rear ramps are hinged and part of the tailgate - you just tilt them up and latch them shut. the fron of the trailer does the same thing, but it tilits forward, and rests on my tailgate. so it is in essence, a 14' long ramp. ride the blastere thru the trailer and into the pickup. close tailagte and front gate. ride raptor into trailer and lash her down. close rear gate. throw in cooler, gear, cameras, and tool box and yer ridin! and no clamky scary ramps to deral with either. would send o pic if i could figure out how.

I'm also with knutz. I turn the fuel off, run it till the carb bowls are dry, then pick it up from the front, and stand it vertical on the rear grab bar. I've run into a problem with standing it up on end with the carb bowls full, floading the airbox. So now I run it dry before I load it. One thing, make sure you have it lined up to miss the wheel wells before you stand it up. Then I get behind it, drop the front in on the tail gate, and pick the back end up and push her in. It's easy loading it up, and very easy unloading. After a long day of riding though, that raptor feels like 1000 pounds. I have a Chevy Z71.

What I want to try is to load it rear first, put some of that grip tape down, and ride it out of the truck. I think it would be sweet, but I'd probably damage myself and the quad, so I haven't tried.

I load my Raptor using a bi-fold aluminum ramp with safety straps. Makes things way easy when you're by yourself.

with my banshee and tacoma 2wd, i just stand on the tailgate, lean over and muscle the front up and in then go around back and lift that end up and push forward.. its pretty hard to lift the front but definately do-able. wouldnt be doable if the truck was much higher though. I do have a lifted '77 K25 gmc that I would definately need ramps or 2 guys for...

ive been thinking about making some ramps out of wood. say a 2x12 or something... at 6' long, they would easily hold the weight of the bike.. the banshee is 410lbs, so thats about 200lbs per board, spread out on 2 wheels.. i couldnt break a clean 2x12 with my 200lb self, if i had to.

any thoughts?
