THIS IS THE HONEST TRUTH.

The DS650 Baja is 77Mph Stock.
THe Raptor is 72-73 MPH Stock.

And in a Drag before top speed is hit the DS will take it 7 out of 10 times with good tires.

This is not bs i own both bikes. This is the way it is.

Oh and The DS is good for more. Stock Othsu tires allways sag, If you fill them up with air to over recommended psi they dont get quite a good launch but top end will increase. 78 is achivable.

Not just top speed to consider, but how fast you get there. Change the crappy airbox config on a stock raptor, and put aftermarket exhaust. It will pull like a MF. Also, look at how much mods cost on these machines. No matter what you think, you will in all liklihood be modding your scooter. Just an example of how the exceleration is after just a pipe and filter mods. Stock, my rap would pull the front end up no problem in 1st gear (remember, I am 6' 4" and weight 250 lbs, so it may be different for others), anyway I couldn't get it to bring the front up in 2nd without some effort. Now, after airbox and exhaust changes, I don't really use first, 2nd pops up like 1st used to, and 3rd will bring the front end up with just a little effort. Man, I really want more though. Definately gonna go see the boys at Trinity real soon.

I've had my rap up to 73mph. In the woods, that is so frickin fast. I'm looking now for exceleration. How fast can I hit 30 or 40 mph. I can smoke my neighbors $80k bmw in a drag down the street. I love bringing the front end up. I want it to pop up in 3rd and 4th like it does stock in 1st. Crazy fast, ***** out, arm jerking power. That's what it's all about for me. Well, I'm rambling. 12 pack of coors will do that to you....

Hey Yamalip,

I was replying to your question when my computer bluescreened on me, Microsoft is the greatest NOT

I like the Edges with no problems. Lots of forum members like the Haulers 8 paddle or 9/10 if you can motor it. Would I buy again? Yep. I have only riden one other Raptor in the dunes and it had Haulers among other mods. His Raptor spanked me consistanly and when I rode it the same thing, a few bikes ahead on Comp Hill at Pismo. I am sure it wasn't the paddles but the mods he told me about.
