How much do the stock valves, intake and exhaust, weigh? How about stainless and Ti? This is for a Raptor stock size. Where can I find weight comparisons between the three metals, on the web prefered?

Ward- stock size stainless weigh 2 grams less than the stockers. Oversize valves use the same stock valve seats. Where is the gain in over size??

Do you kow how many grams either the stainless or stockers are?

What do you mean the oversized uses the same seat? Why would you get oversized valves then? I am not saying you are wrong it just doesn't sound right.

Can anybody else shed some light on this subject?

the GAIN is in the material removed from the seat after a oversized valve is fitted.if you just put the valve in there wont be much gain.
that is why machine shops have bowlhogs and flycutters

Maybe I am missing something. 14 said it uses the same seat, if you remove material from the seat wouldn't it be a different seat. That is what a bowl hog is for, right?

ward ,my description of the seat is the steel insert in the head your valve seals against.they just cut it open bigger for the larger valve.but that doesnt mean they are,or have to remove the extra material under the new sealing surface.a good machine shop will.
