Adjusted Raptor Valves...Power feels different???
#1
I adjusted my valves a couple weeks ago. When I ride my raptor now, it seems different. It feels as if the Raptor gained alot of low end and lost some top end. Is this possible? It will now pop a wheelie in 3rd gear unassisted. It did not use to do this. But the top end seems like it doesn't go as fast. Throttle response is fine and smooth and everything works great other than the above statement. Is this just my imagination? Thanks yall.

It is pretty much a general concensus that the intakes on all Raptors tighten up over time, right. So should you adjust them to the widest limit and let them tighten up.
The last time I adjusted my valves I gained enough power to notice it and they weren't that far out of spec.

I just curious why is everyone adjusting there valves on there raptors?
I could see doing it when its about 5 years old, and was rode to and from work everyday, but its quad a new quad! I dont think street bikes adjust there valves that much and are rode all the time.

First off, thanks for the replies. Secondly, I have an update on my valves. Well, I don't know what the heck happened, but the raptor is a beast all over now lol. She has the extra lowend I spoke of, but her top end is back. I topped her out at 78mph Saturday, not bad at all IMO. She pulled HARD the whole way through. As far as adjusting the valves on the bikes, I had to get my adjusted at 500 miles per Suzuki's reccomendations (GSX-R 600).
