I've heard that pulling the cable a little out or disconnecting the reverse in the Raptor may cure the tranny problems. Does this really work? And how would you go about pulling out the cable so it just barely engages the reverse, or disconnect it? I ride in the dunes, so reverse itsn't really needed.

It would hurt to do it since you mention that you don't use reverse. I did mine after tranny start to let go and went to Fortin gears and diconnect the reverse cable. I don't user it at all.

I would just leave as is.

Just don't use it.
