My buddy has a kawasaki p650 and he is trying to tell me that a few simple mods like drilling some holes in his exhaust,drilling his airbox,putting a k&n filter and adjusting his clutch he will be able to smoke a stock raptor without any problems.I am planning on buying a raptor whoever I wont be impressed if he smokes me as easy as he is claiming!Any Raptor owners share his views?

 

What is that thing, like 600lbs? I don't think you have anything to worry about. jmo

 

I have a stock 400ex and a stock P650. My brother and I raced them on the road by the house and the ex is faster. Out the hole it is close until I shift to 2nd the it is bye bye P650 the ex flat eats it. We swapped bike and tried a bunch of launch tech for the 650 and the results were the same. So if you have a raptor you buddy can do all he wants you will still be quit a bit faster.

 

I saw a P650 race a 400ex and the 650 won. LOL of course the guy riding the 650 was around 150lbs and the guy on the 400ex was between 260 and 280. LOL once you get that big its hard to guess weight.

But getting back to the race with the Raptor,... I just cant see a 650 beating the Raptor.

 

raptor wins no problem as long as your a decent rider
