I am looking too buy a raptor but there to expensive for me.
But a want a high porformance quand and a reverse.So can some one tell me wants a good price?

 

New Raptor expect to pay $6000-$6500 it varies from state to deler. I'd reccomend used if you are like me. I like to have somting that I can work with rather than worring about scratching it because I just paid soo much for it. Used will run about $4500-$5200. I have heard bad things about the 01 model it likes to strip gears in the trany?

 

my dads 03 rap was 6100 otd. the ltz and kfx are 5800 msrp. thats the lowest youll get for that kind of quad. you can get a 300ex for cheaper than that new. otherwise, you need to look at used quad. by looking for reverse you really limit yourself to mostly four strokes. second, only recently have high performance quads been released that have reverse. if you are willing to sacrafice some performance, look at warriors, previously mentioned 300ex's, or even some of the polaris models. if you are somewhat experienced, you may not really need reverse. the best quad for a budget right now is a used 400ex, they are getting cheaper and they are great quads, just air cooled and no reverse.

 

i got the first 03 red / black raptor from my local dealer - cost me 6,495 out the door. not the best deal, but they wanted 7,500 out the door. oh well, i love the machine. worth every penny.

 

the new z400's have reverse but since it's the first year it probably has bugs to work out, I'm not really sure about the pricing either[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img]
