Ward660R....

I've been trying to be a mouse in the corner and keep my mouth shut and nose out of someplace it doesn't belong (this being guy talk and all), but I've been following this thread...you guys are TOO funny!

Wish I had some words of advice (from a female's view of the matter), but I can't come up with anything outside of just having a serious talk with her, all emotions aside, and help her understand how much this trip means to ya.

Shoot, I'd give my right arm to be able to go, but my husband won't take his bike to the sand. Whenever I go to the dunes up here in OR-ee-gone I have to go by myself (well, not strictly speaking, usually with MRA group).

Try her in a couple of days, she may have changed her mind or something (what? a girl change her mind? NAH!!)

Good luck! Hope your day goes better today than yesterday!

Ward660, I'm right there with you... My wife always finds an excuse to get pissed off when I want to go riding...
She tells me that I ride enough. RIDE ENOUGH??? WTF is that??? Once a month is more than enough for her!

I've pretty much got to the point that I just do what I want and deal with her tater.... It's funny you mentioned this because I just went through the big fight this weekend about riding.

Women - You can't live with them, you can't shoot them!!!

Good ploy. Try again in a couple of days. Hey! Why do women have cleaner minds than men?

Because they change them constantly!

Good post, I was looking to do some venting myself. After taking my atv head off for the 2nd time to replace broken exhaust header studs I decided to install a high comp piston & Hotcam stage I cam. By the way, I replaced the stock 6mm studs with 8mm's from the Grizzly, wonder why Yamaha doesn't make that an upgrade? Anyway, with stronger studs in place & after honing the cylinder we install the new piston & then wait for the cam to arrive, & we wait & wait & wait, the damn thing was ordered from Motorworld racing on Sept 17th & was supposed to be delivered Thursday Sept 27th. Well it didn't, so being too impatient & wanting to ride this last weekend we put it back together on Sat & went riding on Sunday with just the high comp piston. It has a little more bottom & the front end comes up a little more in the higher gears but it still needs the new cam.

Monday afternoon the new cam arrives, arrrgh.... time to tear it apart again. The bright side is that its getting easier to do(3rd time) & I got a killer price from MotorWorld racing, I'm trying to look on the bright side!

...rcr, the studs broke inside the head, too difficult to get to without removing the head. I tried the first time & drilled crooked, took head off & payed someone to aluminum weld & retap. Second time a different stud broke, took the head off & drilled out & retapped for 8mm studs, & yes bartlett, I used a torque wrench, LOL...
