Ward, I just have the standard K&N replacement filter. So I guess I'm looking at a ProDesign Flange and Filter... once I have that I can take the lid right off the airbox?
I didn't already know that, so thanks a lot... I'm sure your input will save me a lot of money in repairs!!!

You do have one other alternative. As for me, I don't mind paying the money for Billet Aluminum.........as long as you can see it.
Those adaptors are rather expensive, so ................
This is what I did.
It worked great for me.
And it was CHEAP!!

Do you happen to have some better pictures of what you did there exactly?

Yes I do. I went out and took some colser pictures with little enlarged views for clearity.
It is super simple!! The problem is getting agood seal at the top of the air box. The bottom has the groove that holds it in place, but on top youcan develop a gap that you could suck in some debris.
All I did was install the filter where I wanted it and drilled a hole straight though both pieces. I made the pilot hole small enough that the bolt would tap it's own threads. Then, just as a safety precaution, I put a nut on it to lock it in place. Simple. That screw probably saved me at least $60.00 .

Thanks for the help. I noticed you are from the same town as me.
Where at in Defiance do you live? Where do you usually ride at?
