My local dealer has an 03 blaster on the showroom. I'am looking to upgrade from my warrior. would this be upgrading or is this a smaller quad?? I know its only 200cc but its 2 stroke, and I like the price tag alot!I payed 4400.00 for my warrior used the blaster isn't even that much new!! let me know your input on the blaster, such as speed, acceration, good on jumps trails etc.

I like my 02' blaster, runs pretty good for 200cc as long as you keep the revs up, because it seems to bog down easy. Acceleration is ok, dunno really what to compare it to, I would hope it would run close to what a warrior would.

Jumps ok, little stiff on trails I think, but it can't be beat for 3200$ out the door.

blasters are great quads, but your purchase depends on your habits. if you want more speed, the blaster will have it. the blaster doesnt have the most advanced suspension though. if you are about 6ft or less you should be ok as far as size goes, but it is smaller. if you are looking for an overall upgrade you might want to look to the 4 stroke offerings like the 300 and 400ex, z400, and kfx400. it really depends on what you want to upgrade from the warrior. if you need size the blaster might not be it, but you would get more power.

I'am looking for more power, and some better suspension or more travel, I would really like a 2 stroke, but the only 2 are banshee or blaster and the price tags are a big difference!. I plan to sell my warrior that has tons of mods to buy something better. The new polaris predrtor looks nice but problably cost 6k. its a 500 liquid cooled DOHC 4 stroke, 5 speed. also thinking about a raptor. I can get either a 99" banshee for 4195 or an 01 raptor for 5400 from my dealer but I think thats alittle high priced.

just a thought, but the used honda 400ex's around are selling for 2500 - 3700. some with mods. it would be a good deal and would be a step up in everything except the lack of reverse.

i aggree with maddog. IT would have more power and more of a sportier quad and that great 2 stroke power. However like he says it might be too small and the suspension wouldn't be near as good as a 400EX or raptor or pretty much any other sport quad. If you want lots of power get that CT240 kit with 40hp that will definetly have more power then your warrior. Also and 03 blaster has new brakes which is a good incentive compared to the old ones. But if your a bigger guy the banshee might be a good choice, throw on some toomey pipes and you'll have all the power you well ever need unless youy going to race. Or the Used 400EX would also be an option with its good handling and susension. Good Luck on you choice l8r

Blaster HD there was a post alittle while back with a guy with a moded warrior
he did some drag racing and his friends piped blaster smoked 2 stock 300EXs one with gearing changes and beat his moded warrior

I wouldn't doubt it, get the holeshot and shift it fast enough and you should come out on top..

i think blasters are really under rated in accleration there so light and good traction cuz of the short wheelbase i cn pull bigger quads like 400 exs off the line after that i can beat a lot of sport quads and hang OK with bigger ones.........but i woodnt see the blaster as really a upgrade to a warrior so i wood get somethin bigger!!goooooooooooooooooo blasters..yeah!!!!!!
