Default Wolverine problem........??

I have a 2000 Wolverine, and when I am in 2 or 3 gear with low rpm's the quad spits and sputters. Also when I start to climb a hill in 2 gear it will start acting up. Here is a list of what I've done:

1) adjusted the valves
2) disconnected the e-brake saftey switch
3) take carb. apart and clean
4) adjust pilot jet needle in carb.
5) new plug, clean a/c, new inline fuel filter, oil&filter
6) probably more but I can't remember

I did not do this all at one time but at least in the last three rides. The last item I fixed ,was to disconnect the saftey switch, and on the next ride it ran great, I thought that was my problem....wrong. The last ride it ran horrible, halfway into the ride I put a new plug in, at first nothing changed, but later on, it was better but not 100%. Could this be an electrical problem? loose wire? Any help would be great...

Default Wolverine problem........??

I have heard of Warriors (same engine) having this problem with a bad ground for the reverse switch, that plug on the back of you motor is for the rev. switch.try taking it to a solid ground and see if that helps. Does it happend at higher rpms? When mine was new,I had a problem with 'spark scatter' at the high end,it was caused by the stator gap being too wide on the firing coil, this made the spark weaker,hi rpm needs good spark to keep running,so it would sputter and miss on the top end. Hope this is some help.
