One nice addition to the new Forum format is the new "User Rating" option.

If used correctly it will help you to identify a Knowsalot from a Corndog. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif[/img]

Everyone should take the time give someone a favorable rating when they give you good advice or a useful tip. There are a lot of people giving advice out here and that is great..............BUT, there are people out here that only want to cause conflict. Don't get me wrong, I like to talk SMAK just as much as the next guy, but if we take this rating system somewhat serious, it will be a nice tool to know who your talking to on the other end.

How do you rate a person? I don't have anything on my screen that say's, rate this person.

 

You just click on the 4th symbol from the left on the message block. It has a face with a question mark beside of it. You can click it and the user's profile is displayed and you now have the ability to give them a rating.

 

Just click on the icon that looks like a sideways face, it will show you that users profile. Once opened, it will give you the choice of making a rating on the bottom of the page.

The ratings are cool but it seems that the people that deserve low ratings turn off the ratings option.

It's a real quick way to tell what someone is gonna be like if they turn off the profile & pm options too.

 

I like the rating system as well, I just wish you could see peoples rating beside or under their icon. I forget about them too.

I just checked my rating and it dosen't look like I'm getting much love. LMFAO! I wonder who it is?? LOL!
