How many turns out???
#2
That will depend on elevation for the exact setting your engine will like. Start at 1 1/2 to 2 turns out, warm it up, run it up to speed in 3rd gear, then let it coast, don't pull in the clutch. If it pops or sputters through the exhaust, turn them out 1/4 turn at a time until it coasts without back pops from the pipe.

Go with a Dynojet kit & follow their recomendations for your mods & altitude.
You'll also have all the jets you need for future add ons.
Like Murph said they're jetted on the lean side from the factory, for emmissions I guess.

Most dealers I called said stock fuel screw settings are 3 turns each & that the left screw should be left alone, just turn the right one in/out to accomodate. I turn both myself. I have found 3 turns each works good for the hot weather & 3 1/4 turns each works good in the cold weather. The only way to really know is to experiment.
