I was just wonderin b/c I plain on buying a 2002 raptor. I have heard that they frequently have transmission problems. Something like 2nd gear often fails, somethin like that. If anyone else has had problems please let me know!

 

No problems whatsoever..... Buy that puppy.... Might as well get an '03 too Thos LE's are sharp

but do those transmission problems only show up in 01. I just don't want to be buying a lemon

 

I've only herd that the 01' trannys go out but all other models are perfectly fine, but i don't have one or anything, thats just what i've read in other forums and posts. But i think you should just go w/ the banshee, it will go up a hill faster then any Raptor.

 

Timeless that depends on the mods and the rider.. The 01 Raptor was the only one known for the transmission failure.
