Heck yes johny hill climber, Gordons has some of the softest steepest dunes...I love Gordons...pattons valley is along the closure line and test hill is along the canal...forget mama's blaster make sure you have a mean machine

yes.
there is "Test Hill" along the freeway (North side) and there are some steep ones in "Patton Valley". Test hill is the Oldmobile Hill of the south dunes. There are drags there too. Patton Valley hills are similar to China Wall.

How do you get to Gordon's Well? I would be coming from Orange County south of Los Angeles? Just got back tonight from El Mirage "Dry" Lake and it was a beautiful day and not crowded at all, ideal......always looking for new places to ride. Thanks, Charlie

This is a favorite riding place of ours....Johnson Valley off the 15 N to 18 east Passing through Apple Valley and Lucerne Valley to Old Woman Springs Road exit Left at Boone Road--it's a dry lake bed with lots of open riding and a few at least 5 or more of patches of sand dunes mostly about the size of a football field or smaller but nice to play in for a variety. Let me know if you want more details......
