Default need help please!!!

i have a 99 yamaha kodiak and i just replaced the front wheel bearings in it. when i took the steering knuckle off it just slid right off the axle. but when i put the new wheel bearings in it and tried to put the steering knuckle back on the the axle shaft it was hard to get back on. i had to tap it on partially with a block of wood and hammer. then i put the hub back on and pressed it on the rest of the way with the axel nut. now that it is on i noticed that the wheel bearings turn stiffly. what the f%$@# did i do wrong. to top it off i can not get the steering knuckle back off of the axle. is there a puller that i can buy to get it off. and help would be greatly appreciated.
