I have those on my Banshee when I had the T-4 pipe and now I have T-5 pipe and need to install on T-5 pipe. When I have those on T-4 and they work pretty good. It tell you what the temp is at. and so on. The max. temp you really want to run is around 1300 degree. I set it up around 1150 to 1200 degree. That way I am in comfort zone. It was easy to install. The brand I had was digatron, they are based from Spokane, Washington.

I am sure they have for the 4-stroke.

Desracers,
Where did you get your EGT and how much did you get it for? I was looking for one for my LT500R and the only place I could find one, was at a ultralight aircraft supply and the cost was extremely expensive! If you could help me out with this I sure would appreciate it!

OutCast

Here the number of the Digatron of Spokane , Wa.

509-467-3128

I order mine thur the mag. of dirtwheel a few yr backs from ATV Racing. I think I pay around 300 or so, can't remember it. That was for the dual probe. since you have single it would be cheaper.

Give them a call and see what happen.

I found one for $220.00, but it's a Large Display TACH / EGT Gauge. That is the only one they have. I wouldn't mind having a Tach, but it's a little hard to watch a digital display over an analog one. I will have to give it some serious consideration though.

edit: I found a EGT gauge only for $145.00 I think I'm going to be getting that one!

Thanks for the help and input. Is there any down side to them?

Look at aircraft supply places. Here's a few names
Aircraft spruce & specialty www.aircraft-spruce.com
Gulf coast avionics
Cheifs
San Val
The only down side I can think of is not using it right. What I mean is once you reach peak you can lean it more (over Peak) and the temp will come back down slightly. Not being aware of this could cause problems.
