Part 2: Now Banshee wont idle!! LoL...
#1
To recap from my other post, I pulled and cleaned my carbs on my banshee. When I got it back together I could not get it to start. I posed the ques. on here, and I found out that I had lost the little tube that goes between the carbs for the choke.
Now, I made a temp. one out of rubber tubing. I had to slip it over the ends on the carbs. I got it to start, but it will not idle unless I have the choke tube pulled out. Now, my friend looked at it, and thinks that it might be reversed. Should I have the tube on the inside instead of slipped over the outside? Man, I am seriously about ready to yank my whole motor and completely rebuild it. I am really feeling like I got screwed on this deal. Maybe its time for me to get a Raptor, hell I do most of my riding in the desert anyway. I dont really see that much dune action. I have never had this much trouble with a quad or dirtbike in my life!! Hell even the really old bikes that I used to have as a kid were easier than this thing! Ack, I dunno...

The choke cross over tube will be about 2.5 inches long. In front of the slide, on the right side of the left carb and left side of the right carb, there is a nipple. When the carbs are installed, the nipples are directly across from each other. This is where the tube goes. I have forgot about this tube too many times to remember. Change jets, won't run, remember tube.

You say that it idles with the choke out... but does in REV like it SHOULD. If not, take a look at your TORS and even you parking brake. I just read a few of your post, and dont know if you did this or if they are still on your bike... but just a thought. I personally HATE the stock 26mm carbs... I mean if you take all of the BS off of them and get them dialed in, they are good, but I just have had VERY poor luck with them.
Let us know what you find, and most of all dont get discouraged. I have spend countless hours wrenching on these things over nothing, but once a SIMPLE problem is fixed and you scream past your friends, its worth it. Best of luck, and consider taking off some of that TORS and other junk from the bansh, it does help out sometimes.
