Lonestarbanshee, I traded out the CR500 powerbands in my atc250r for a set of special polymer bands designed for a KTM380. Man the power increase was phenomonal. If I remember correctly, it took slight trimming to get them to fit. I think KTM gets like $11.59 A PIECE for them though.

I used to have KTM SX250 bands in, but they weren't broad enough. I like to have power all around the motor, you know? I have debated on going to the KTM520 bands, but I'm more of a 2stroker. I dunno, the CR500's make me happy. I just recently installed a SeaDoo triple cylinder onto my stock Sportsman 500 cases and put a Trinity Racing WebCam in. It is faster.

Fourlix....That cracked me the hell up!!! I can understand that completly. Being from Wyoming all we do is feed Utah, Nevada and California. Our lakes are empty so that California has water to drink. I say they should fend for there own selves or move...wait what am I saying....STAY THERE. We raise our Deer and elk(not the slow moving kind either) to get big and bad so they can let all the Utahn's and Cali people kill them(when there not shooting mules, true story!!). I trully shamed my own kind by moving to Utah so I will take it easy on them and when i go back to Wy to hunt there I will take the license plates off my truck so i am not as ashamed of myself.

ohhh and those Cowboy's from Texas and Califonia just think there Cowboys. They dont even know the meaning of being a Cowboy.

Lonestar, the SX250 bands weren't broad enough? Hello, its a MX bike. I have heard that you can turn the same amount of power as a CR500 if you use the 500 bands in the 250r. Is that true? I never could get my 250r to make that kind of power (I even washed all the bands in hot water to shrink them a bit to make a little tighter band, didn't help). I have tossed around the idea of Quadzilla bands, but I am not sure exactly where they are located in the engine due to the odd valvetrain.
I would think the watercraft cylinders would fit better on one of the newer honda engines with pushrods. That way you won't have to find some place to run the timing chain to. Oh, Now I see you are running the Trinity cam. That would make things easier.
I once had a 250 polaris trail boss. I put reed spacers, a pop-up piston, billet cam, boost bottle, and a very small holley carb on it. It scared me so I sold it. I put a 300ex pipe on it, but all it made with that exhaust was lowend, it wasn't as scary though.

Bubba, remember I have a little experience with the booze. I also have ran methanol in my bikes. I have spent enough time with it on two strokes to help if you need. If I remember correctly what carb you said you had, that is what I have tuned. E-mail/pm/call if needed.
Richard

Yeah, the CR500 bands work well in the TRX250R motor. I also have a Polaris Xpress 300, but my great grandfather was flying through this field, 170+mph, and the oil pump quit. So now, its bored out to a 330 stroker(built by Fourstroke tech), with a set of T5's, an ESR Powervalved cylinder, and much more. Now it will hit the mid 200's easily. I personally raced DSmike on it, and beat him by about 900' in a 300 yard race.

Well, I better go. I just took my shoes off and my feet stink so bad, my mom is flogging me with a golf club.
