A Few Banshee Questions
#1
what kind of nerfs are best for the banshee as far as performance, looks, and the way they hold up? how does a banshee compare to a yamaha raptor in a drag race? what is a good gearing setup on the banshee for trail riding, and some hill climbing? what kind of handguards look good on the banshee (most nice ones I see are for dirt bikes)? they are probably pretty bad on gas, so would it be smart to run a larger 5.6 gallon gas tank? would razr2 tires be good on the machine for aggressive trail riding? are the stock radiators really bad on these as far as them overheating, or do they work okay if you take breaks to let it cool? any other common problems people have had with their banshees?

i got ac on mine and they look fin
shee vs rap pretty close stock vrs stock
new tires and pipes on a shee vrs piped rap the shee will pull away
porting pull away even more and so on
the rap can be made to go just as fast tho you just have to spend more money
my dad runs a big tank for his 24h and 6 h ice races but for just duning or whatever he just runs the stock tank and brings some extra gas if we need it
but for first mods for sure get some new tires and then throw on some pipes

the stock tires are horible. i have raced a banshee many time in many different situations. stock for stock the rap will out run it everytime, on the road they are about the same but on the dirt my rap wins every time, in the woods on a small graval/dirt staight were i ride at i can pull infront in first and every gear up anothe quad away. this is not
bullsh!t just the out come of many races. and a piped shee vs a piped rap (tuned right and not just slapedon) will be a even race if the shee gets traction witch is a hard thing to find on a shee.

ya if you get new tires tho a piped shee should beat a piped rap 2 strokes get more out of pipes
athough the rap does get a lot out of pipe...
alot depends on the rider 2 his skill and weight
and ya you made a good point a tuned quad runs a lot better

Jeee wizzzz..... here we go again.. toomeyblaster is right on>>> FOr what its worth you will enjoy riding the banshee more anyway, there is no comparison to it in terms of how fun it is to ride one. Plus i hate the "farting" noise 4 strokes make anyway... i would take a banshee over a raptor any day!! unless you get the 727 kit:] for the raptor.

then why does a piped raptor have the same hp as a piped shee. and four strokes can do more with the power they have
you cant say a banshee is the best for everyone, i let two people who own banshees ride my bike and they liked it more a said how fast it was through the woods.
sounds to me more like a t-rex fart

With my rappy bone stock motor with LRD pipe I can easliy keep up with built banshee motor of 350. 2 of my friend have those even my built banshee too just about run even with my rappy. My friends are fast rider, ball to the wall and they don't stop for nothing....
Like ToomeyBlasterRyder mention of the rider skills and so on, and he is right on that.

are those numbers with pipes, if not they are very high
i think a stock rap has a few more hp then a stock shee and like i said a 4 stroke can do more with the power it has on the dirt.
and if they are piped the raps numbers are low and you need a better pipe or better tuning.
and in no way will the rap or the shee eat the other, piped or stock (if they are tuned right with a good pipe)
this is on the dirt like they should be raced

ya everyone has made good points but the bottom line as long as your haven fun thats all that matters there both good quads and have there different pros can cons. Each can be made to go fast and as far as hp pipes make a big difference on the rap i was suprised when they first came out with some shootouts i mean if you look at a 400ex they get like 2hp with a pipe but like i said there both awesome quads but since i ride dunes i'm partial to a rap (my dad still likes his shee better then his rap in the dunes)
Nothing matter with either at least yamaha has 2 solid high performance machines. i didn't mean to start a fight over which one is better they each have there place jmo
