Putting through a wash on a slow family ride this turkey day weekend, I come up to where everyone has stopped as the wash has ended and my quad slips out of second gear. I think nothing of it as I thought maybe I bumped the shifter as I hit a bump before I stopped. We take off and I go to shift from first to second.....I have no second gear?? I guess it's my turn to upgrade to the 2002 trannys. I only hope I get it back before FSW in January. Gonna call Trinity tomorrow as well as others to see how long it will take them to do it and possibly get me a port and piston/cam installed while there. I just think of all those times I smiled as I told those unfortunate soles that posted their tranny problems, "Never had a problem with mine" [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img]

 

Man do I feel sorry for you.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img] I still have the '01 with no problems yet, mine will probably go at FSW. Anyway sorry.


Has there been any news from the CPSC or what ever it is?

Thanks, guys. I'll still be at 4 stroke wars. I do have another 2001 Raptor but, it's the wifeys. Unless its tranny goes out between now and then. These 2 quads were bought only 2 days apart in June 2001. I wasn't racing but I wanted to attend the madness and watch the fastest 4 strokes around. I guess if all else fails I'll go on my old ladys other quad, Polaris 250. LOL
