Default Raptor crank case breather tube spit a little oil ?

I have re-routed the end of the crank-case breather tube from the airbox to it's own little filter tucked in next to the snorkel. I noticed that some oil has spit out - not much, just 10 drops or so - enough to be noticable. I was racing a desert race last weekend and there were some REALLY WFO sandy road sections and I had it pinned for 10 minutes or so. Do ya think this oil is OK. It's the first time I've noticed this after many other high RPM trips (dunes, etc...). Also, the oil level in the tank is right on the Full line and not over.

I figure some oil is bound to splash up and get in the tube but I want to be sure it's OK since it's never happened before !?

Thanks, Eric

wide open for 10 minutes? wow ,that has got to make your eyes water.... never had it happen to me. what is the reason for running a filter on the breather? if i need one , where do i get it.

Yep - my eyeballs were bouncin around in my head - couldnt see straight !!

The reason I put a filter on it was it seemed to be an open shot for crud to get to the engine. Even though it does not draw air in to the crank, it seemed like the right thing to do. It's probably not necessary but better safe than sorry.

The small amount of oil is OK considering the abuse you were giving it...those drops are most likely the accumulation of oil mist/vapor...and 660 big daddy you should certainly have a filter in place on that open hose...any auto parts store has small K&n braether filters
