Put yourself in our place just for a few seconds...........is anyone out there willing to pay approximately $1400 round trip to ship a quad. At that price, I would have to put Greg in the crate with the quad.

Sounds like a good idea to me. Just give him a five gallon bucket for the port-a-potty.

Tell Greg to check his PMs.

Default Who is NOT going to FSW's?

I have checked most all of those companies Blue. The cheapest one was Yellow at $680.00 and that was even with a 40% discount. The only one that was going to pick it up from work was the first company Brother's Express. I just found out about Forward Air yesterday and I checked this morning and this is what I am facing:

$361.00 shipping one way from Cleveland to AZ ($722.00 *)
$295.00 AirFair...........Prices shot up almost $100 from last week and they all have 1 to 2 layovers. (a week ago it was a straight shot for $218.00) ($295.00 *)
$56.00 to insure the bike for $8,000.00 ($56.00 *)
$200.00 for new Miter Saw and lumber for crate (already spent) ($200.00 *)

Travel: (since we live in a small town in the middle of nowhereville)

Need to take my crated quad to Cleveland the week before 4SW to ship it out (4 hours there - 4 hours home).
Drive back to Cleveland to get on the plane ( 4 hours there )
Fly to PHX with 2 flight changes (8 hours instead of 3 hours straight shot)
Travel from PHX (with MichaelAZ ) to Glamis (I think it's about 3 to 4 hours)
Glamis.....finally some fun.
Travel from Glamis back to AZ to ship my quad back to Cleveland ( 3 to 4 hours )
Drive home from Cleveland to go back to work (4 hours )
Wait 3 days for quad to return from AZ to CLE and drive back to Cleveland to get it only to turn around and drive back home 4 more hours.

What do you think King?? P.I.A. isn't it? Every thing goes up the closer you get to the day of the event.

There is always next year.

Ward 660, just wanted to thank you for the offer and the sacrifice you were willing to make for my husband. I just wanted to publicly thank you. You and your wife are the nicest couple we have met in a long time. Hope we can get together sometime with you both. Thanks again!

King Raptor, we are a little further than 10 hours away from Texas. Plus, Greg would not just let anyone touch his raptor. His 1999 Chevy truck has less than 20,000 miles on it and I don't even get to drive that and I am married to the guy. That is why we pay insurance on the raptor itself plus he was going to take out more on it just to ship it. Don't bother convincing me, it is Greg that needs convinced.

Rhonda, no problem, I have been in his situation before and I know how it feels. I am lucky enough to be able to catch this at the right time, and a ride half way, thanks to DollarBilz. I try to do what I think is right, normaly. They always say what goes around comes around and I try not to have anything bad come back at me.

Take care,
B WARD

If I want to post my grocery list out here I will. If you all have a problem with it don't read it. I am not itimidated by King or anyone else out here on this "forum".
