Default fcr's are they worth it?

Has anyone compared to bikes with the same mods except for the carbs. If so, What was the difference between the two. Did the fcr's give more throttle responce, better mid's, or did they just have better top end? What was the difference in a drag race by bike lengths??

ARE THEY WORTH A $1000!!! ?

I am running a Trinity pipe. The needle clip is the 4th from the top. In the cool weather we are having it is actually still a little lean but not enough to mess with. The jets are mikuni jets not DJ.

I have had alot comments on being to rich for my mods. If you look at the Raptors from the South they all seem a little rich by comparrison. Is there a reason for this?

BTW I run a 170/175 with a pipe and two clamp-ons.

We are typically lower down here, also our air is thicker because of the higher humidty. In other words, move south and your engine will make more hp.

I hope they are not as much trouble to JET as the stock carbs were?

Well they may only give 3-4 hp on the dyno but let me tell you it makes a hell of lot more than that riding the bike. The carbs chnged the whole power band. I'm hitting the rev limiter in third gear as where I never hit before. The power would always die off and I would shift long before. Now it revs so much quicker and it doesn't wheelie as much. Its more of a smooth power band to where it just pulls from the ground up. There is no waithing for the slides to open to get a burst of power.

They are also very easy to adjust. The main jets can be changed on the bike without even removing the seat. I'm very pleased with them and well worth every penny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!

$1000 for FCR's! WOW! Where are you guys getting them from? What FCR's are they? I tryed the 39's on my DS for a short time, and I believe I paid about $650 for them.
