got it the friday before Christmas. as expected...awesome. Alot of 4 strokes airing it out. stock Raptor hitting 90 ft jumps. hell theres even DS650 riding moto. Footage of Dana breaking his back...great footage of him doing some cool freestyle stuff at low speeds. I would not say this is one of Wess's better huevos videos...but it is awesome.

i think:
the soundtrack could have been better...the alternate track was a nice touch...but it was flatter than the original.
The actual film quality was much better than the past...looked more like an actual movie
New riders...always nice to see fresh faces, new freestyle stunts and quads

The boob shot..although nice..wasn't needed...i just makes it harder for youngsters to enjoy. i don't think it made the film any cooler...i actually was getting all worked up with the extreme close-ups of the quad...panning back to some model who can't even spell dirt...ruined my moment. oh well.

The snake striking the camera....come on!...lame. in fact all the shots of them jerking snakes and gators around will do more harm than good to this sport. i think it would have been cooler watching them respecting the animals.

i think wess's films stand on their own...He doesn't need to add this crap. I think he needs to add more female riders...not Models. i got my **** collection for that.

Bottom line...rating 1-10(10 being the best)...this was a 6.

 

Well overall i would say i liked it a lot,the freestyle was much better than the past huevos ,the main weakness in areas was there was less dunes and dune jumping(africa was cool though)..i though it was cool they used a lot of atvs instead of just 250r's....The music i would give a 8,it is good but not as good as huevos 3.....pikes peak was awesome they need to put more diffrent races in the videos like this!!!!I agree about the girl stuff in the beggining to,as not putting her in there would'nt stop anyone from buying it....not a big deal though.....overall id give it a 9 ,good as all the rest better than 1 much better than 2 but some weakness's..................oh and i also like all the bonus footage they should put more stuff in the video like that,interviews and just them riding around!

 

thanks RNH, i was looking for it tonight at our local cycle shop for me and my 6 year old to watch. glad they didn't have it. sounds like it's not appropriate for my son.

I thought the video was ok. I like quicksand 2000 better because it is in the sand. But, Huevos 5 had tons of flying quads and these guys can ride. The only dunes were in South Africa and they didn't do much while there. The snake shots and stuff I thought was cool. All in all not worth what I paid but neither is any other of these type videos. Worth watching? Yes, imo.

 

I assure you the snake was not harmed. It was treated with the upmost respect. It is a cobra, so we didnt get too close. The snakes handler got the close ups. We kept running away.

I liked this Huevos. It actually showed alot of footage on the DS650 most of the other videos I have seen really didn't show to much of the DS. I liked the freestyle stuff alot. The soundtrack was ok but I would just rather hear the engines then music. From 1-10 I would give this an 8.

Was this video shorter than the previous ones? It was only 45min long, seemed short to me. I thought this one was OK, but I missed seeing a some scenery. Like the Colorado shoot. We get to see them jump bikes over a bunch of dirt hills. OK, but why the heck go on location to film dirt?

One thing that always disappoints me, is when a video travels thousands of miles and ends up at a pile of dirt mx track. Some of the tracks visited in previous Huevos have been very cool, but some of these are just dirt.

Dunes. I know I saw them. Did they jump a single dune? I better go watch it again. I just remember them riding along the tops of some razor backs and doing some roosting.

Hmm. I guess I sound critical. I did like the video, I was just disappointed. They seemed to peak with #3 and have been going downhill since (IMHO). Although it was nice to see a better mix of ATV models.

 

let me clarify:

The film starts with extreme close ups of a tricked out quad. slowly shooting the roll design a-arms, IMF chromed pieces etc. (looks awesome) then they start shooting someone gearing up...pan back to find some super model pulling a jersey over. Believe me...they could'nt have have shown anymore boob then they did.

My point: that shot would have rocked without her. Plus it's phoney...why not find an attractive girl that actually rides. i think thats hotter than bringing in a ringer.

sorry Mcfly...sticking the the camera in a cobra's face to get it to strike is not the out-most respect. it's lame...hell, kill it and grill it for all i care. But in the US atving is under attack from all sides from environmentalists and animal rights activists. this does'nt help our cause...neither does the extra clips with bayou billy steping all over the baby gators.

What i did like: Pikes peaK, South africa and the interviews. The three dudes from PA tearing up the up the montain...take a look at the rocks...times that by 5 and that gives you an idea what we ride on in NH.

All the Heuvos films rock...i love the diversity in riding area's.

 

I finally got my copy and just finished watching it. I think it was pretty good......the freestyle has gone to a new level. Wes Miller is doing a great job helping to develop the sport.

Sure you cant please everyone, but hey what you dont like , dont watch. I hardly think the babe in the intro was out of taste.
I did think however that the guy teasing the aligator was unneccessary..... just wish he got bit. Lets see how brave he is when that thing is fully grown.
