why is everyone using the J&E as opposed to the weiseco, is it that much lighter or is it diff material?

Its JE. Probably because JE makes what people want unlike Wiesco. I can call JE and ask for a 4.39 Big block Ford piston with 20cc dome made for 6.8" Big Block Chevy rod and they will have them in the mail to me in a couple of days. JE/SRP is quickly becoming the performance piston standard. They make customs like I mentioned plus a lot of big bore stuff. There pistons are well designed also.
