Need help - Lost my keys
#1
I managed to lose my keys to my 02 660 Grizzly, and I am unable to get the metal cylinder out of the switch. My dealer says that he needs numbers that are on the cylinder of the switch to cut me new keys. I have tried to get it out and I have not had any luck. The service manual does not say anything about removing this. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

You need the key to get it out. Actually I'm not sure about that, some of the older cars you did. Sometimes there is a hole on the side or on the bottom that you can stick a small wire in to depress a release. I think there was a key number somewhere in the paperwork I got with my quad.

If any of your friends have a Yamaha quad - try their keys in your bike. It sounds silly, but the key for my 2002 Raptor is exactly the same as my stepdad's 2002 Grizzly. I lost my key and just thought I would try his and whaddaya know, it worked! What are the odds of that? We even bought out quads from the same dealer.

call the dealer you bot it from, he should have the key numbers in the jacket.
if not, youre prob changin the switch. maybe the boys at the sheriffs office would let you talk to
somebody who could give you easy instructions on how to hotwire it....
they should have at least one of these characters in the hotel this time of year....
