banshee problems
#1
I recently bought a 95 banshee that ran awfull. after checking it out each cylinder had about 125lbs. of compression but one carb had a 260 main jet and the other had a 270 main and the throttle slides were in the wrong carb. my question is after i put everything back like its supposed to go or like my other 95 banshee it still doesn,t run right can anyone recomend what size main jets, pilot settings and needle clip position i should have. it has fmf pipes wiseco pistons 230 main jets, pilot is 2 turns out, neddle clip is in center position and it has a pro flow intake system and pc-1 racing vent system.

125 psi is just fine, 230 mains is way lean dont ride it with such small mains or you will melt a piston in no time. The 260-270 mains should be real close to what you need to run with the FMF pipes and the pro-flow set up just make sure that if you decide to go for some 260 mains, you put the same size mains in both carbs.

The reason why it was running awfull has nothing to do with the mains, they are too close to what should really be in there to make your Banshee run "awfull" but on the other hand if the throttle slides were in the wrong carbs now this will make it run "awfull" so just put some 260 or 270 mains back in there, put the slides where they should be and i am pretty sure it will run just fine.If this doesnt cure the problem then there are alot of other possibilities...
