On my Y2K (still have it) the squeeking noise came from over-tightened front shocks. All I did was to back off the shock nuts 1/8th of a turn......haven't had a squeek since.....Although, being a new bike & all, I would snug up all your hose clamp connections on your atv as a lot of mine were loose when I checked upon delivery. (including your air vent connections). Other than that I have had no major probs.

 

My dad has an 01 with the same problem. he went out and bought ebc severe duty and it still did it. So for xmas i bought him a set of works shocks for the front and the noise disappeared. That was tthe problem with his and Yamaha didn't believe it. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-cool.gif[/img]

 

Wow. That sure is alot of bad luck. So far I have no complaints with my 02. I even still have my original brakes. I plow, hunt and do a fair amount of trail riding with no complaints so far. Were you able to find the coolant leak. I would start by looking at the motor around the seams and around hoses to see if you find it. I'm not sure how much more your atv will have to go through before the lemon law can be applied. If you are really that unhappy you might want to see the better business bureau. I've had top notch luck with my dealer. Check with another dealer and see if they can get anything done.

hi buddha, i had the same problem with mine when i first bought it. it was a loose clamp,no big deal. as far as your atv being a lemon, i don't think so. what you need to do is find another dealer who will service you right! i have both a yamaha and a honda, and you know what? i'll never buy from the honda dealership again (bad experience), but that dosen't mean its abad bike. happy trails.

You read the ones where there is a group of people " no it's better, NO it's not, SHUT UP" You must think "man I whish I could be like those guys and talk trash" it's obvious you only have 2 posts on this board. Completly different story when some guy has a problem. I'd be pretty pissed to if this was happening to me.
