gold is right at $350 an ounce I just checked the prices. That would be a waste of money he would put more than the quad is worth into gold peices. It might be gold plated aluminum but it's probably polished brass like what's used in musical instrument it looks simmilar to gold.

As far as the gold plating, to each is own I guess. I've seen money wasted on things that will always baffle me.

I know it is hard to believe, but that's what the man said. I was the one that took the pictures, so what you see is what you get. Yes it is a plating over the original or stock parts.

Hope he invests in some sort of super clear coat, otherwise im plant some rocks on his fav trail and follow behind him picking up gold flakes. Dont let him ride sand though, will just blast it off of there and make my job harder.
J/K, really though, thats not to intelligent if he ever plans to ride it. Why not just do it all in titanium? then atleast it would be functional and faster than normal because of weight saved.
