if it is glowing is it really lean?

my head pipe keeps turning red if i rev it up about half throttle when i`m sitting still, but when i `m riding it shows no lean conditions anyone got a suggestion, or an idea

Did you bump the pliot jet from stock size? if not then you may have too... since you mod the airfliter (upgrade).....
