I hate insurance, it's like betting against yourself! But sometimes you gotta do it. To me it really comes down to whether or not you can afford a real big repair bill. It's unlikely you would have a big expensive failure, but if so would you be able to afford to fix it or would the quad have to sit while you saved up? If you can't pay it comfortably then an extended warranty makes sense. As for repair bills, well you are gonna have those anyway. Most of the stuff your quad will need on its first birthday won't be covered under warranty. IE: brakes, bearings, cables etc. All the work i've had to do on my yammies (alot) wouldn't have been covered. That's the price to play unless you get a new quad every year.
So, will you bet an unlikely, but possible $500-1200 (we'll say) against the definite $3-500 warranty. I'll take the bet.
