Default Raptor Tuners!!!!

What does it mean when your plug has one black spot, right in front of the ground strap, and the rest is stark white? This is not on a WOT test because this motor is in the breakin stage. So its just general easy riding only on the needles. I am guessing lean but why does it have the one really sooty black spot? Thanks for any help!

You are on gas right Ward?

Being too lean (which you are) can cause some funny things. Two-strokes smoke twice as bad when lean.

My guess though is since it is a new motor, your rings just haven't seated yet and that is from burning a small amount of oil that passed by the rings.

ward, please post your setup and current jetting so the team can give more input. After the cam breakin I like to get on it a little to expand the rings and get a good seat. I think putt-putting causes more harm than good. You are seating the rings, and breaking in the top end, not a whole motor.

Default Raptor Tuners!!!!

Here is the set-up:
190/185, stock needles in the fourth clip from the top, stage 2, 11/1, 686, w/ light port work, and all stock sized valves

I am not really putt putting, say around 2,500-3,000 rpms. I am getting a little more rpms every ride. Tommorow I should be able to do a WOT test to get it a little more accurate, I hope it stays together.

Thanks for the help!

AlkyX, yes still on gas for now.
