Well man, your buddy is stupid. Take the dealer to the court, get a new Raptor. 10 foot jumps? Sounds like you were beating the heII out of it in the first place. The lemon law has changed a bit. It's 5 strikes, they changed it. Also, even if you do try to get a new raptor, it's gonna take some money for the court, and the dick might not even show up for court. I bet if your buddy scares the Dealer enough, they will cooperate though. If I were you buddy, I would kicked some ***, and MADE them give me a new Raptor.

 

If your lemon law is anything like the one in CA don't expect a new quad.

CA law requires the problem to be the same issue (i.e. in for broken tranny three times OR 90 days in the shop within something like the first year.)

 

I think there is something we don’t know a dealer isn’t going to tell you to go away. Obviously they feel that they have done everything they could. It sounds like severe misuse. How heavy is your buddy? Blown shocks, blown tranny, overheating, bent rear axle and disk. If he is only 150lbs he must ride the hell out of his machines. But you never know maybe the guy who assembled it at the factory was having a bad day. Maybe they didn’t have a fork lift when they dropped it off. I am not saying you’re lying but I don’t think we have all the facts.

This sounds a little too bogus and not to mention the spelling. My 03 (1 month old) the reverse limiter will act up but it will push past it once you get rolling in first, a guy i ride with (KFX 400) does this also. Ive rode mine pretty hard and but the silencer falling off come on. How come the raptor owner didn't post?

I haven't edited anything on this thread. I am not sure when you posted but if you look at my last post from last night I posted and then went to a different section and returned to the yamaha forum and my post was missing so I just reposted my responce.
I just assumed the server had a hicup. So go ahead and repost and I would watch this user for bogus.
