in the latest dirtwheels magazine, it says that Yamaha claims that their sport quad line up accounts for 50% of all sport quad market sales.... and of those, the Raptor is their best selling quad.

If you hit the trails you will see for yourself that the Raptor and 400ex are the most popular sport quads by FAR. The last time I went to Dirty Dawg park in Phenix City, Al. I saw too many Raptors and EX(s) to count. Raptors were the most popular, but only slightly. I only saw one KFX and one Z-400. I think Predator will be just as popular by the end of the year. Yamaha hit the mark w/ the Raptor. If they made a 400 range sports quad they would have all bases covered.

Well considering the Raptor has been out for 3 years and the rest of them, Z-400, KFX 400 and Predator have only been out less then 6 months, it should be the best seller.

 

Yamaha sold over 27,000 2001 Raptors....This past year Suzuki only sold 30,000 Quads total through October!
