How much should i expect to pay to convert my 01 raptor tranny over to the 02? Mine has not went yet but it acts up every now and then when under hard acceleration in second gear it feels like the chain is skipping teeth on the sprocket but it adjusted correctly and the chain and both sprockets are new so i know that aint it is this a sign of whats to come for my tranny?

$500.00-$800.00 for parts. Depends on if anything else needs replaced.
$500.00-$800.00 in labor costs.
If your luck is like mine, you'll pay to the higher side of these numbers.

Broken record again. The Yamaha manual shows 3.5 hrs for complete teardown and reassembly of entire motor. If you want to donate an extra 2-5 hrs of labor at 60 bucks an hr that's your choice.. My dealer doesn't offer deals for ANYTHING and this is what I was charged. $210 in labor was not bad at all in my mind.. I got a one month warranty also, so if it broke the first time out they would cover it.. Plaza Cycle in West Valley Utah call for yourself.. www.plazacycle.com

Should expect to pay 510 for all parts on an unbroken tranny with new gaskets and some yamabond to seal her back up. Shop around and base your costs off of alba's part finder prices. raptortranny.com has a good thing goin check that out

SandGod.
Though I feel that it should take no more than 8 hours to remove, tear down, re install to frame. 3.5 hours is a bit on the lean side IMO. I know this was for an already removed motor. I found no one to do it for less than 12 hours Labor here in California. I wasn't going to drive to Utah to have my tranny repaired. It looks as though the shops are a bit more honest in Utah than here.

I just removed the engine from my frame last night, took roughly 3 hours to get her out. Add 2 more for a trip to town for tools and supper. Can't wait to break her all down, 727, and new tranny.
