I've been reading about people buying a kit from Sears and getting really nice results. I've seen some pics and the stuff looks good.

There are a bunch of things on the shee that u can polish. But make sure u do it right. Bascially anything thats external and made of aluminum can be polished. Clutch cover, front resivoir cover, brake and clutch levers, the list goes on and on. But at no regaurds think its an easy task to do. Its very very hard to get the chrome or billet style mirror shine that you want. It takes time and effort. If you would like, I can get you hooked up with a guy that can polish side covers to a mirror shine for 50 bucks with about 5 days turn around time.

But if you dont want to polish alum, just do some good spray painting jobs on little things. Like front and rear resivior cover, front and rear bumper and nerf bars if you have them.

What kinda spray paint would you guys use on the frame and suspension parts. I think i am gonna get some paint shop to mix me the same stuff they use on cars. Is that a good alternitive to powdercoating or plating?

remove the part from the quad(if possible) and then use a paint stripper on it to prep it...sand it with a fine grade of paper then scotchbrite it, then steel wool it then use a great polish like MOTHER's Mag and aluminum polish(simply unbeatable stuff) and you will be so proud of the work you just did in a matter of minutes!!!
