Default Kodiak water pump?

I know i read this before, but when you go to order a water pump for a 2000 Kodiak do you ask for one to fit a 2001, 2002, 2003? Will they fit right on? Also i'm getting sick of the choke being frooze everytime I go to ride it! So what year did they fix that problem? I've realized that if I leave the choke on when I put it away for the night it will start in the morning, but once it warms up it floods itself terribly until there's enough heat from the motor to thaw out the choke spring (Just a pain in the A$$- as is the water pump, every time i go on a trip now i have to take the rack off and fill the rad!) So if the person who already mentiond these answers before could please tell me once more it would be greatly appreciated!

The water pumps are the same. Make sure it has a vent tube attached to it.

You need the upgraded choke cable to that stops water from leaking down to the carb that sits there rusting out the spring and freezing when it is cold out. Read the following post and you will find the part number for the Kodiak choke cable.

It is an updated pump for that model. They should warranty it, seeing how it was a recall.

Even though i'm not the original owner? I'll ask the dealer, or demand they give me a new one free, seeing how i've spent over 2K there in the last couple years!
