Best Yamaha Sport Quad.

Get a Wolverine!!! Then you can get through all of the tough stuff and still be able ramp and get plenty of speed. Plus your buds with the other little sport quads will need somebody to pull them out. Thats what i did and i love being able to be one of the only ones to make it through with a rope tied to another atv.

To decide here you need to think about what you are going to do with your quad. If speed and an adrenalin rush is big on your list then it's the Banshee. If you desire the simplicity or a four stroke, reverse transmission, and electric start then it's the Warrior. Tight budget then maybe the Blaster. You really need to think about what you are going to be using your ATV for before the purchase. They all have their pros and cons, so choose the one that fits you best.

As a Warrior owner I would say it's the best all around machine if you ride woods, trails, and dunes. If you have alot of wide open areas and can get on the throttle then the Banshee is the only game in town. I'm gonna get a nice used one myself but keep the Warrior for trail riding. I used to be happy with the speed but when the Banshees launch up the bowls at the local dunes and I am bogging down and have to shift to 2nd near the top I suddenly want the 2 stroke too. And if value for the buck is your criteria the Blaster is a great bargain. I'd look at a 1 or 2 year old one and pay no more than $2000. If you hunt the cycle trader you should find one for that or less.

[blue]As I am sure you know, anytime a thread like this is posted, you will get numerous hits from guys talking up their bikes.
the banshee guys will talk about how great and fast their bikes are and how two cylinders is better than one; and if you have a need for speed and are looking for a really fast, high performance bike, then the banshee is probably a good choice for you. My cousin has one and loves it.
I ride a warrior and couldn't be happier with it. after a few mods it fits my riding style perfectly. I ride the south canadian river alot and want a bike which has cosiderable speed but that can also slow down and idle along with all the utility bikes that go with us carrying the ice chests and women. If you want a four-stroke, mid-perfomance bike that is comfortable for long rides, the warrior is a great choice.
As far as the blaster, it is still a nice bike and well worth the money. The main drawback is the brakes and no reverse. If these are not a big deal and you don't mind two-strokes then the blaster is a good bike for the money.
All three bikes are good machines. We have all people who ride all three go to the river with us. You just need to consider the kind of riding you want to do and weigh your decision carefully. and pick a bike which you will enjoy. Happy riding!![/blue]

[red]99 Warrior[/red] [black]black[/black]/[yellow]yellow[/yellow]
[blue]Drawbacks:
Banshee: two-stoke uses more gas and doesn't idle along as slow and easy as four-strokes(no matter what the banshee guys tell you, if they have ridden both, they know its true).
Warrior: heavier, harder to wheelie, harder and more expensive to get big changes in performance out of a four stroke vs. two stroke
Blaster: not very good brakes, two-stroke uses more gas, no reverse.[/blue]

sounds like the warrior has had some changes over the years. looking on buying a 1997 this weekend that is almost brand new. any comments on the 97 and also if you were to buy that year what would be the first things that you would change? this is still a stock bike thanks
