My FSWII story
#1
This is going to be very short with more to follow.
This is the LONGEST drive, 1,734 miles alone is just a little too much.
I had a great time!!! Most of the people I met were SO very cool. RaptorRRC, his son Chris, 14mins, GregV, Biggerisbetter and family, BlueLeader, DSMike and dad, ScoobyDFW, Smitty, 2badraps, patsraptor, Jeffnrivercity, AZSand, MichealAZ, and anybody else I left out. There was so many people that I didn't get to meet everybody like I wish I could have.
I left at 11:00 am on Wensday and got there around 9pm on Thursday night. I met a few people and then went to work on my motor. Chris and RRC did most of the work, you should see these guys fly through the motor, its like me tying my shoes. One of the first things said was "what kind of oil do you use? It smells funny" I answered Yamalube and went on. We got the head off and found some kind of weird sludge on top of the piston. It ended up being dog food ( thats another long story). Anyway the head gasket was blown. I was up and running before morning.
Next morning I didn't make it out of camp and bit the sand face first, and broke a tie rod end. So we went and bought a new one along with another something for 14mins.
Sat. we went riding, I blew a base gasket and had a flat. But I got to see alot of the dunes. The things are HUGE!!!!!!!!! Pictures don't do it justice. We went to Gecko road that eveing, what a mad house, buggies whipping by at 100+ mph only 10 feet away. It was fun though.
Sat night I found out I had to come home early. I had planned on staying for the drags on Sun but ended up I couldn't.
I had a blast. Thanks alot to RRC, 14mins, and Chris I could have made this trip with out them. Alot of others got help from these people as well. It seemed like they worked on more bikes than they got to ride. GREAT people. Thanks again
more to come later
