Degreeing Stage 2 web cam??
#3
If you trust that they made the cam to perfect specs then no you don't *have* to do it. It just verifies that the valves open at exactly the correct time. If you have never done it I would suggest that you contact someone who has to check it for you. It requires a degree wheel and a dial indicator to do.

We have the degree wheel and the dial on the engine right now, just surfing to see if we can talk to someone who has done it. I assume the only way to change the timing is to actually move the gear flange on the cam? We are getting about 19 deg btdc on the intake, so we are 4 degrees early on the timing. I am worried that that might make a big difference, but not really sure. I guess we could always throw a bit more advance on the ignition timing, but that might make the valves very unhappy with the high lift of this stage 2 cam. Any thoughts?
