IS The Stock raptor a dog????????
#1
I have riddena Raptor with a pipe no air box mods and it screamed, wheelie in 2nd and some in 3rd no clutch. I just bought an new raptor and was very disappointed, it wheelies in 1st no problem 2nd pretty much neds the clutch to get it up. Is this common meaning they are very tame when stock or did a bad one witha bad set up???

Keep trying. You shouldn't need the clutch to wheelie in second gear. Blip the throttle once and let off, your front shocks will compress and as they rebound hammer the throttle and you will be sky bound! You will find the sweet spot on how much throttle to "hammer" to get the front end up. Try a little more each time and make sure you have room for run out and wear your skid lid!

A factory raptor is very restricted. I thought mine was a dog when I first bought it. It just didn't have that snap to it. Add a slip-on pipe, rejet it and go with a proflow filter with the restrictors in the snorkle cut out and you should be able to wheelie in fourth without the clutch. Doing this give you a big gain over factory in horsepower not sure on exact numbers but I think it adds like 8 or 10 horse.

My Raptor is stock and i can't keep iy off the grab bar,LOL. The Raptor is a little corked and the gears are pretty high but i can wheelie thru third gear no problem with a little nudging.
