Default Hot cams stage 2 cam?

Has anyone used the hot cams stage two cam for the raptor? If i get the JE 11:1 piston would it make up for the lost mid range power or should i just get the stage one?

smoken- If you are staying stock bore get the stage 1. If you are bumping up to a 686 go the stage 2 . The stage 1 does not need the springs. To me the springs cost hp.

I agree with 14min in a heartbeat.....

that what I would do while you upgrading the motor... believe the tranny will blow up just like mine did on the sec time..... it wasn't pretty this time... it punch a hole on top of the case..... Talk about yeows!! The case might cost me around 569.00 but they might ale to weld it. I will find that out next week....
Upgrade to 02 gears set.....

desracers- looked like the case could be welded, but for what you have in it, i am sure you would perfer to have new cases. Like you and i know 01 gears sux even more the second time around. What exactly knocked a hole in the case????

the 4th gears dog tooth blew upand the pieces hit the counter balancer and threw it out and that what I got a hole in the case. The shop is going to have someone they know that they are going to try to weld it. Hopefully it might work since it close to middle of the case where they come together. The hole is about 1/2" dia.

The shop and I are to work out the deal of the repair bill since it not cover the extend warranty that I got due to after market gears (Fortin) in there. I will know more next week of the case and repair bill.

Yes I would hate to buy a new one since it cost 569.00 dollar. Yipe!

also I have pic of the hole of the case at Glamis and will put on the pic site....

desracers- Bummer on that. But if you have lemons make lemonade. It is a good time to drop a piston and cam in there.

I have the 11-1 and the Stage 1 and It runs real nice. Whskn pulled 54 HP on the dyno with the same upgrades and a pipe and jetted of course. Mark is great to deal with gets you what you need when you need it.
