Default Banshee Pipe

My brothers got an 02 banshee, he can't decide which pipe to go with, he has been decided on trinity for the past month while his pipe has been on back order, was told it would rev so much higher than the T5's.. 12 more HP, all that stuff. What has been your experience with pipes on a stock banshee with K&N clamp ons... I think he wants awesome top end, a good mid, and no loss on bottom. Should he stay with Trinity or ditch them ?

From what I've seen from actual dyno runs, not seat of the pants measurements - T5s, CPI inframes, pro-circuit or LRD adjustable all seem to do very well. Really, though there's not a huge difference among the good top-end pipes. Toomy provides great customer service and build quality from what I've seen.

Another vote for toomeys, but I have not had another pipe. If it were me, it would be between the t5 and the cpi. That was where I was at about 6 months ago, and I went with the t5 because I could actually get them. The cpi is hard to find and there are some probs with them, fit, welds leaking, and things such as this.

But, they may have worked that all out. I could never find a dyno of the cpi, but hear that it makes more power then the t5.

A guy named Redrocket on BansheeHq posted on the old forums some dynoruns of his ported Banshee with T5 pipes and with CPIs and if i remember correctly the CPIs were outperforming the T5 by about 5-6 HPs.

I have a friend that TT races with me. On a non ported banshee with 19cc domes, v-force cages, 34pj carbs he dynoed 53 hp with T-5's (running rich) and then dynoed 64 with CPI's (dialed in). Most people just say 6-8 hp difference though. If you aren't running bigger carbs, intakes, compression, then you won't notice much difference.
