Picked it up this morning and went for a 3 hour ride, did not open it up to much...kept it at about 3/4 throttle for break-in for first few hours. After the short ride all I can say is WOW!!!! Now I know why people love this bike, it is a torque monster. Spent half the time on the trails and the other half on a local mx track and I was smiling the whole time[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img] Thanks for everyone who has posted their honest reviews and opinions about the Raptor, it helped me narrow down what to look at and look for in the type of riding that I do, BTW if anyone is looking for a good deal on a new Raptor and live near the Gulf Coast you might want to check out Hattiesburg Cycle, they gave me a great deal one, 5609 OTD. Now....what to mod first???????

Pretty soon I will have had mine for 2 years.

Its too cold out right now to ride, but I think I will go sit on it just to get that lovin feeling again.

That's a deal. I dought you could buy a used one in Californi for that. Now.... what to mod first? Swingarm skid if you have any rocky trails where you ride.

I just picked my new one up too. I got a LE with RED flames. Looks awesome! I didn't quite get as good as deal, but for the west coast I don't think $6199 for a LE is too bad. Can't wait to take it to the dunes!

 

Thanks everyone.....I think the first mod I will be doing is getting a wider axle, probably go +2" on each side with different tires.....the stock tires give great forward traction, but dont seem to slide very well.....I was thinking of going with maxxis razr.....I have heard nothing but good thing about those tires......will probably put sandsport wheelspacers on the front for now until I can save money for some +2 A-arms. After widing then I will change out the exhaust and rejet.
