what about 15000, 8000, 6000, 4000, 2000 ?

What is the easiest way to manage jetting if one was to always be riding at drastically different elevations? (ie: road trip)

 

I dont know how good it works but you might want to try Dial-a-Jet...

 

2002 Raptor, stock air box w/no mods, Twin Air element, FMF exhaust (read sig at bottom) and I run 140/145 mains, 22.5 pilots, and moved my needles up one notch on each carb (that's moving the clip down).
I ride at 4000 to 7000 feet above sea level.
Runs perfect.

I plan to do a road trip and will be jetting constantly,,,,I was just looking for an easy solution.

Mason county, Gold Bar, been to Capitol Forest for a poker run.

We may need a day trip idea for tommorrow

I have had my small warrior 350 running strong at 14,500 in colorado. Stock in Kansas i run a 145 in it and the second from the top position. When i go on a Colorado trip i stick in a 137.5 and put the needle in the top spot. Sure the warrior was puking out some black smoke, but what do you expect. And i was impressed with the power it had to haul me up that mountian.

 

vari jet. a friend in cali has one and swears by it. here we ride from 4000 to 7000 and a varijet would be a great help [it's on my wish list] it's spozed to be great with altitude changes. give yer raptor a little credit, it has street bike carbs on it which help some...
then again you may not even notice the diff. except when you stop....like me.thats when i realize i'm out of breath..
but whatever.

the varijet will help you avoid jetting changes. period. talk to thunder products.
