How is it the jeep racing people can rope off large areas of a hill, rope off drag lanes up the hill, keep unwanteds out of these areas, and have a staged drag area on the flats with groomed sand and a light tree?

Why was it such a pain to have the little ol 4SW's at Glamis and the Jeep people can have this obviously well organized event?

I'm not complaining about it, I thought it was great, just makes ya wonder.

As for Dumont the sand was wet and the track was very slow until Sunday. Won some, lost some. Still couldn't take out RaptorRyan but my hired gun could. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

Sparks bikes were there with what looked like the 4SW's riders aboard at least the teenage kid.

Didn't see xxdumontraptorxx I'm sure he was there, just not at the hill when I was there. I'll have to show you the back of my quad the next time we are there. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

 

And it got a little breezy for a while on Sunday. Like eaglecollector said "You did'nt want to be smiling coming up on some of those crests"

The question still remains, Why can the jeep club run these races at Dumont?

Why can't the Quad club run races at Glamis.

I do not know this to be a fact...but my guess is that money talks. Maybe they bought a 2 day permit for there get together?

They probably don'nt have the nut hu......... I meen tree huggers to contend with at Dumont like they do at Glamis. And I think there was a problem with getting insurance for FSWll.

 

Both are governed by the same people. Both have the same rangers.........

If nothing else, lets get a hold of this group and find out what they did that we did NOT do.

I am sorry for not letting this die, but I drove for over 23+ hours to be at that race at Glamis just to run up and down the hill just like any other day. Yes, I will say that it was somewhat organized, but that is not the same.

If it is suppose to be a race, then it should be a race...

I just want to figure out what they did to be able to do that. What gave them the right to rope off a section.

Next year, I want FSW to be able to rope off a section of the hill and run a RACE.
