Default Wolverine

Hey, I got a few questions

1) How does the wolverine handle in snow. We just got 30 inches here (this is unusual. We usually get some snow every year but not this much) in NYC and I was wondering how the wolverine would handle in snow. No doubt it have hard time getting through 30 inches but last time we got this much here was back in 96 so im not worried about snow always being that deep.

2) Can you attach a plow to the wolverine, and will it do good plowing the sidewalk and path to the street or is it not powerful enough?

3) Do quads have a "lift" option so you can lift the plow a little if the road gets bumpy?

4) I usually like to do doughnuts on my friends 2 wheel drive (utility) but fear if I get a full time 4wd ill never be able to do this on it most likely. Any hope of me doing doughnuts of four wheel drive? Also I like to attept to try wheelies (even though I cant do them, but fun to try) will this be elimated with 4wd as well?

I guess id also like to have a sport quad but with the terrain and obstacles and stuff I like to do I would guess I need a utility quad more then a true sport one. Anyone know any good dealers around NY (live in Staten Island) which I could get new wolverine for a nice price.

You have to be a little more agressive with a full time 4wd but a Wolverine will do all the donuts you want.

I have one. SNOW: absolutly excelent for snow riding. PLOW: good for an extra task, not what you want if only for plowing there are better machines if that is what your main objective is. If not, the wolverine should do fine even though it doesnt have the most low end grunt. I have heard of many people who successfully plow and are perfectly happy with the performance of their wolverines. DONUTS: are for cops, no just kidding. In tall grass, snow, mud, water, other slippery conditions they are no problem with the 4x4. On some surfaces it takes some skill/cant be done - Highlifter and Warn make kits to allow 2x4 or 4x4. WHEELIES: not great, eh what can I say. heard it is better with the 2x4 kit but don't know myself yet...LIFTING THE PLOW: yes all of them do with a manual hand lever/chain or if you have a winch (you have to buy them seperatly) will do the trick.

Mine handles amazingly in the woods. I can outrun my friends with rappys and z400s easily. I am talking about tight trails. Mine has full skid plates but even so, I have like twice the ground clearance and no open chain. I have to watch out a lot less, has lots of shock travel as well, is agile when on two wheels sideways (I have perfected it, it is an artform ask if you want to know more), plenty fast for the average rider not. Good in water and mud that isn't EXTREME, stock tires are good on hardpack and trails but for snow/water/real mud new tires with a better "paddle" desighn would be desired. You can get 25" Dirt Devil tires that fit the stocker rims for a decent price. I would say wear out your stockers first though I have ridden mine in the snow and they really arent that bad. The quad really cant get that stuck in the snow. Just get off lean your weight into it, hold the racks and hit the gas. This snowstorm is the first that stopped me, My tires are worn out and I laid no tracks, just tried to tredge the 2 foot deep snow. I made it like 150 feet. Then I had to keep backing up and going foward again and got tired of it, I could keep going but I had to rev it out really bad in like 2nd gear and keep turning my handlebars while it smoked like hell from the melting snow. It wasn't worth the stress on the ATV. If you have any other questions let me know. I have taken my Wolverine through almost every type of riding and pushed it pretty well to its limits, BUT NEVER FLIPPED, and trust me I dont ride like a *****. I just dont like flipping, isn't good for it.
