Raptor Pro flow foam question?????
#1
I am putting a pro flow foam on my raptor, with a Yoshi slip on, no lid with an outerwear cover over the airbox and DynoJet kit 148/150, my question is about the red outer foam filter that comes with the proflow filter system, I ride in the winter and summer in average dirt conditions and rarely in sand, should this be used or is it for extreme conditions????? does it effect jetting??

I have the foam proflow system also, no lid, Outerwears airbox cover. I rarely use the red prefilter. I only use it when I am riding in sand. I have never had a problem. It does affect jetting a little bit. It will richen things up a little bit.

I also have the Pro flow kit and been running the pre filter with airbox cover on.But i ride mostly in real dusty areas or sand.I just put the exhaust on,so will find out how it does this weekend with cover off with outter filter on.Have had to problems so far.

I ride in dust and sand (Dust is much finer than sand) and use the red pre-filter. I like it because it's much easier to clean and it appears to traps 95% of the crud so I dont need to clean the inner part as often.

Also my photos in the directions for the Proflow are fuzzy, So in the actual air box do I just cut out the front peices of plastic under the Billet , or is there some cutting somewhere in the rear of the box like the two pieces in the middle sticking upward???

You leave the big pieces that are located near the back of the airbox, what you cut is the front little plastic things that go lengthwise in the front of the airbox, there about an inch long. If you go no lid i think thats all you have to cut, drill away!

I ended up going with the lid on snorkle cut out and had more power than with the lid off, I ended up with 148/150 DJ, 4th clip and 3 turns out. It snaps very nice wheelies. Thanks to all who helped out I appreciate the knowledge you shared !!!!!!!!!!
